How To Let Users Upload Their Own Photos And Videos To Your Facebook Page

Hi. This is Laura Roeder of And today I’m showing you how to enable the people that like your page to post their own photos and videos on your page or not.

So how to control if your fans or your liker’s can post their own photos and videos on your Facebook page, so I’m signing in on my Facebook page, I’m going to go at edit info here on the top to get to the settings.

And then I’m going to go to manage permissions. And here’s what I’m looking for. In manage permissions, there is something called posting ability. Users can write or post content on the wall, you probably want to check that and then you want to decide if you want users to be able to add their own photos and videos.

This may be a great way to generate content from your community or maybe you want to have more controller for that. So again, it’s really simple. You just want to go to edit settings of your page, click on manage permissions and then decide if you want these boxes checked or unchecked for users can add photos and videos and then simply head to save changes.

I have a silly question for you!

Back when I first went on Facebook, I created a personal profile, but have only really utilized it to promote my business.

Now with the change of the Facebook page, I just want to “move all my FB friends over to one, get rid of my personal profile (because I don’t like or use FB for personal purposes) and simply have the FB page for business.

How do I go about doing this? Any help or advice would be greatly appreciated!

  2. How can someone add a photo to the page and have it appear in the top bar, and not hidden in the page stream of updates?

    • Ari, I think you have to be an admin of the page to get the photo into the top bar.

My understanding is it shows the latest photos the admins have uploaded OR in which an admin has tagged the business/org.

So if a user uploads a pic, an admin would have to tag the “page” in/on the photo for it to get into the top bar.

      But I might be wrong…
